2011
6th Jan. Track being filled in with rubble. They have managed to knock down my boundry post. Saw ... and asked him if his contractors could use the road they are building rather than driving on my bit. He said 'its not your field' so no help there. Then he said 'dont be nasty.' Cheeky sod! The field is now ripped up in places which easily could be avoided. Still waiting for my solicitors to get it all sorted.
7th. 8.45 AM. Left message with [farmer] to ask contractors to be a bit more considerate with NOT churning up the field. ( We had 8mm of rain last night so a lot of damage could be done to the field. Spoke to solicitor and he is now up to date with what is going on, how i feel and the time lost - i.e unable to plant trees, order stock etc. Friday afternoon i came home from work & no work had been carried out since this morning.
10th Work started again at 3pm. More rubble & mess. The other buyer .... has pulled out! (The one who was paying for the track) Track not finished.
17th First of the ten week evening classes on Bee Keeping at Churchill. I came home feeling like I had started a degree course....intense!!

9th March. Planted seed trays of: Spring onion. Onions. Tomato. Salad leaves. Spinach Beet.
14th. [farmer] said if the solicitors didnt hurry up he will withdraw. =(
15th. Done enough of the rhyne & scrub for pig fence. Just in time for the birds to look for nest sites.
22nd. SIGNED CONTRACTS!
3rd April. First visit to LIVE BEES at lower Langford! at long last after all that theory, we now get our hands on the real thing!
5th COMPLETION!!!!!! ITS OURS!!!!!!
6th. Chicken house up and ready for residents.
7th. Found a concrete 'floor' by the willow tree.
8th. Spent some time over the last few months clearing the rhyne by the pig area. It always has water in it no matter how well I drained it. Maybe this will be the answer to the water problem? There is a drainpipe leading into the rhyne at the end of the pig area. Water bubbles up from there -I will dig further/deeper to see if it is a stream/permanent water supply . If so, then maybe just a solar pump is needed. More floor area uncovered.
11th. Won the bid on ebay for the solar charger for the chicken electric fence that i still have to get! Sheila and I did another session on the super frames of our bee hive.
18th. Electric fence and chicken feeder arrived! Good ol' ebay. Marked out pig area by willow tree and bought 13 fence posts from fountain timber.
